Privacy Policy
Overview
This policy was last updated on April 27th 2018, and complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation (EU) 2016/679).
The privacy and security of your data is of utmost importance to us. This privacy policy applies to all PageProofer users. We will only ever access your account to help you with a problem or to fix a software bug. We only allow authorized employees to access customer information for internal reporting purposes. We will not access any information upload by you (either in notes or comments or as file attachments) unless you give us consent. We log all access to all accounts by IP address, so we can always verify that no unauthorized access has happened for as long as the logs are kept.
We are a Canadian based company that adheres to The Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act.
For customers based in the European Union (EU) we make every effort to be fully GDPR compliant. Under GDPR, DGrigg Development Incorporated (developer of PageProofer) operates as a processor (a third party who processes personal data on behalf of the controller), and PageProofer’s customers (websites that use PageProofer to give and receive user feedback) operate as controllers.
If you are in the EU you may want to sign a Data Processing Agreement with DGrigg Development Inc. You can do so by downloading a copy of our Data Processing Addendum, signing it, and emailing your signed copy to derrick@pageproofer.com.
The form will then be countersigned and returned to your email within seven days.

What we collect
In addition to the obvious data we collect (the notes, comments and screenshots you leave on websites via our services) we also collect the following information:

We do not collect any racial, biometic, political or religious information. We do not share any of this information with third parties. You retain all rights to your data.

Your use of the Service
We keep track of certain information about you when you visit and interact with our Service. This information includes the features you use; the sites, notes and comments you add and the links you click on; the type, size and filenames of attachments you upload to the Service; and when you interact with the Service.
Device and Connection Information
We collect information about your computer, phone, tablet, or other devices you use to access the Service. We collect information through your device about your operating system, browser type, IP address, URLs of referring/exit pages, device identifiers, and screen size. We use your IP address and/or country preference in order to approximate your location to provide you with a better Service experience. How much of this information we collect depends on the type and settings of the device you use to access the Service.
Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies:
DGrigg and our third-party partners, such as our advertising and analytics partners, use cookies and other tracking technologies (e.g., web beacons, device identifiers and pixels) to provide functionality and to recognize you across different Services and devices. Security
All data transmitted to and from PageProofer is done via secure SSL/HTTPS. All passwords, tokens and access keys are encrypted with AES-256 encryption. Our data is hosted on secure, state of the art servers maintained by Digital Ocean. All credit card processing is done via Stripe, a fully PCI compliant transaction processor. We do not store any credit card data on our servers.
Access to any data collected from you, our customers, is restricted to authorized employees only. No third parties will be given access to customer data without written consent from you.
Consent
All users of PageProofer must give consent to DGrigg Development to collect and use their data before using PageProofer. The collected data is needed to authenticate who is accessing the system and also used to notify users as content (notes and comments) are added that require their attention. Use of PageProofer is restricted to all persons over and including the age of 18. Any person who is determined to be under the age of 18 will have their access and data removed immediately.
We may, from time to time, send you emails to notify you of improvments and updates made to PageProofer. At any time you can remove yourself from these emails by using the unsubscribe link in the email.
Access
In compliance with GDPR, you can request access, correction or deletion of any personal information that PageProofer stores about you. You may also request that PageProofer block processing of your personal data, in which case we must retain just enough information about the you to ensure that the restriction is respected in future.
You can access, change or delete your personal information at any time by emailing us at support@pageproofer.com. Your request will be completed within 30 days.
Disclosure
We may disclose your data to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of our Terms of Service, or as otherwise required by law. While we may be required to disclose your information in response to a lawful request by public authorities, we won’t hand your information over to law enforcement unless a court order says we have to. We will reject all requests from local and federal law enforcement when they seek data without a court order. And unless we’re legally prevented from it, we’ll always inform you when such requests are made.
Cookies
In order to improve our services and the website, and to provide more convenient experiences for you, we use “cookies”, “web beacons”, and similar devices to track your activities on our websites. A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyze web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences. A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us.
DGrigg uses third-party analytics software, which use cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyze data about webpage traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system.
Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, if you prefer, you can block cookies via your web browser settings. This may prevent you from taking full advantage of the website.
Changes & questions
